A great re-introduction for those who haven't done any art work for a while but also suited to working artists for a challenge, to push yourself, push through creative blocks and have an intensive weekend of production. There is no pressure on final products as the processes themselves will be invigorating and refreshing. There will be an evening talk and discussions on inspiring topics as well as time to wander 3 minutes up to the Botany Bay Hotel for drinks. Although there will be a packed itinerary, nothing will be obligatory and you can choose whether or not to participate if you fancy just chilling out on the sand with your favourite book. |
I will be teaching for the weekend and since it is a small group you will get a good amount of individual attention.
We will explore technical, expressive and experimental drawing to strengthen our eye-hand coordination and loosen up.
Later we will be producing monotype prints using fast, lucid hand-movements with the potential to add in chine colle and dry-point. There will be opportunities to be playful and have plenty of fun! I have lots of other ideas up my sleeve but you will have to come along to find out!
My husband Giles will be our in-house chef, cooking creative meals using local and coastal ingredients.
NB
* you will need to be prepared to draw and walk in all weathers.
* bring a light stool or chair if you do not want to stand or sit on the ground to draw.
